Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In the 1960s, American President John F. Kennedy, concerned for the physical hardihood of Americans and their armed forces, challenged his Marines to march 50 miles in 20 hours. The Marines took up the gauntlet he threw down, as did his brother Robert, and tens of thousands citizens all over the country.
In the great tradition of the 50:20 challenge, I am walking 50 miles in 20 hours on Saturday 28 September. I will start in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, at 04:00, and follow the Stratford Canal up to Kings Norton in Birmingham (25.5 miles). Then, I will make the return journey to complete my 50 miles. All this in 20 hours to raise money for Life.
