Story

5 in 5 Challenge for WaterAid

We usually host a whole calendar of fundraising events on behalf of WaterAid Scotland but like many things during the current lockdown we have been unable to do any. However, the projects we support are continuing and we need to make sure we can support them and provide the water and sanitation facilities that are so needed in Rwanda and Malawi.

To keep up those good habits of exercise many of you developed during lockdown, we thought it would be a good challenge for us all to take up, so why don’t you take up the 5 in 5 challenge and help to raise some funds for WaterAid. It’s a great way to explore your local area and find new places to walk with your family and friends.

The 5in5 challenge is designed to be flexible so all abilities can participate. Here are some challenge options for you:

1. Walk, run or cycle a total of 50km over the 5 days.

2. Get a group together and walk, run or cycle a total of 500km over the 5 days as a team.

3. Take part with your kids and walk, run or cycle 5km each day over 5 consecutive days.

The main aim is to get active whilst raising funds for WaterAid Scotland's work in Rwanda.

So get on those trainers, walking boots or pump up your tyres and get moving. Post your progress on social media using #5in5 so you can all share your progress and some of the wonderful routes you have taken.
