5 plus 1 peak challenge · 15 September 2021

COPS is a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives on duty to rebuild their lives. We aim to ensure that surviving family members have the help they need to cope with such tragedy and they remain part of the police family.

Story

On the 15th September I will be heading to North Wales to the start of the 5 peaks challenge, 5 peaks in 48hrs along with a great team of firefighters and supporters to raise money for the Firefighters Charity and Care of Police Survivors.

Charities like these carry out vital work which support those who serve and have served on the front line and in the case of Care of Police Survivors, provide support to the families of officers who have lost their lives on duty which is invaluable to those who have lost loved ones.

The hike will take the illustrious team from Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) to Ben Nevis before heading back down to Scafell Pike. Its then onto the ferry over to Northern Ireland to complete Slieve Donald then down to Ireland to the final peak of Carrauntoohill where I will be completing the ascent in full public order kit along with my firefighter companions.

Total ascent will be 5296m while the rest of the team will be continuing on to complete Moel Siabod on the 19th because for them 5 peaks just isn't enough. All joking aside any donations will be greatly appreciated and the money will go far in supporting our blue light services.

Should you also wish to donate to the firefighters charity heres my link for the charity. I am trying to keep it 50/50.
