Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Two years ago I did a solo cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats in 14 days and raised £4500 for Prostate Cancer charities. Many thanks to all who contributed.
This August I will be 65 and I have decided to raise some more money for Prostate Cancer with another challenge. My 65@65 Challenge will be to cover 65 miles consisting of a 2 mile swim, followed by a 50 mile cycle and then a 13 mile run.
My Prostate Cancer seems to have stabilised somewhat over the last two years mainly due, I’m sure, to my diet, exercise and positivity regimes which I try to follow. Further treatment is on hold and I’ll continue being active as long as I can.
I plan to do the Challenge on Tuesday August 30th, the day after my birthday and any friends who wish to, are invited to accompany me on any or all of the disciplines during the day. The swim will be at Woodchurch Baths at 7.30 am with the cycle starting from Heswall Squash Club about 9.15 am. Allowing 4 hours for the cycle should see the run start from the Squash Club by 1.30 pm
Whether you join me on any of the Challenge or not you are invited to make a donation to my Prostate Cancer Charity at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/65MileChallenge
