Story

Us five boys are all putting on our trainers and taking on the ‘Toon’, with little running experience we have the audacious objective of completing all 21 kilometres of the famed Great North Run in under 1hr 50! Having seen how type 1 diabetes has effected the lives of our close friends we have decided to take this run as an opportunity to raise vital funds to combating this disease. All donations will go to JDRF who drive critical research into minimising the impacts of the disease ultimately leading us to a world without type 1.

Since Alex can no longer run with us in Newcastle, he’s decided to still participate in the event by completing a half marathon at the same time with the same rules of sub 1.50hr near his home on the 11th September.

Thanks for checking out the page and any donations would be hugely appreciated!
