World Land Trust protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre. Through a network of partner organisations around the world, WLT funds the creation of reserves and provides permanent protection for habitats and wildlife.

Story

Having heard the inspirational story of Nick Hollis, who is making the world record attempt to complete the 721 challenge - climbing the highest mountain across each continent, skiing across the North and South Poles, and rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, the Eton College Shackleton Society is completing its own 721 challenge: cycling 70km, running 20km and swimming 1km in a day

We are doing this tough physical challenge to raise money for the World Land Trust, a fantastic charity that is attempting to buy critically threatened rainforest in Guatemala to prevent climate change. Sir David Attenborough declared that "The money that is given to the World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of."
