Story

The Challenge

It will all start at 11am on the 17 April when I line up to start the Utrecht Marathon in Holland. Over the following 6 days my running will take me via Rotterdam, The Hague, through my home county of Essex before arriving in Greenwich, London - 157.2 miles down and 'only' 26.2 miles to go. On Sunday 23 April, I will pull on my trainers for the last time and join the 30,000 other competitors to run the world famous London Marathon, the final leg of this unique and physically demanding endurance challenge.

The Motivation

In 2003, my younger brother Robbie died in a tragic accident while on holiday with friends. Robbie was a genuine ray of sunshine. Compassionate, caring, and someone who is dearly missed by all that knew him. Raising money for 'Dreams Come True' helps to bring some of the joy and compassion that Robbie will always be remembered for into the lives of others. 'Dreams Come True' is a fantastic charity making terminally ill children's 'Dreams Come True' and providing some joy to otherwise troubled lives.
