Story

We are basically normal blokes, a pair of ordinary middle aged dads who coach grass roots kids football; we love the game and indeed all forms of sport, but over the last few years we have prided ourselves on doing some extraordinary things for some great causes. In a battle to stay fit enough to coach our kids teams, we do a lot of running and over the past few years we have run a few marathons, 30 in total between us, including a 3 marathons in 3 days adventure on Britains oldest trail, the Ridgeway. We thought that was going to be the height of our lunacy until a weekend away with our families on the Welsh border when we ran a few miles on a trail called Offas Dyke in the Black Mountains..... Whilst running, Leigh told me that the trail runs the whole length of the Welsh border, I semi jokingly suggested we should run the whole thing. A lunchtime post run pint sealed our fate as we persuaded each other it was a great idea .... So in July this year, the pair of us are embarking on a lunatic adventure running a marathon every day for a week as we take on the historic trail Offas Dyke from Chepstow to Prestatyn. 188 miles of trail and mountains and not for the faint hearted....

We are raising funds for Welsh fans football charity Gol which does great things for underprivileged kids round the world and shows that football can be a positive influence on so many lives in so many ways. We want to say thanks in advance to our families, the friends and local businesses who have already committed to help us along the way, in particular Allt Cottages owned by our friend Jason Lee where this story started and who is hosting us for the early part of the race and to Christina James, Neil Dymock and Gareth Jones who are our support team in the adventure.

We are covering all of our costs ourselves, so every penny you donate will go to Gol and will find its way to help kids round the world. Please help us to our target of £7000 to match the 7 marathons in 7 days!
