Story
Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
At Sibford School our tutor group supports Helen and Douglas House, so we want to do our part to help them at this difficult time. We are all going to be doing something related to 2.6 or 26 to fundraise and hope you will donate cheerfully to support our cause.
This is what we are all doing:
Maia - 2.6k run every day; Olivia - 2.6k horse ride every day; Penny - make 26 individual origami pieces, Anna - make 26 rainbow meringues; James - 26k run; Eddie - grow 26 sunflowers; Will - 26 chores around the house; Finn - 2.6k bike ride every day; Tom - 26k ridden on the bike during the course of the week, Bardia - 26 consecutive basketball hoops; Charlie - 2.6 hours of non-drop rugby passes; Isla - 26k run during the course of the week; Tabitha - making a 26 ingredient pizza; Audrey - writing a story with 26 characters; Aoife - baking 26 identical cupcakes and Zoe - 26k bike ride.
Thank you
