9 Platoon's 24 Gameathon - 3rd & 4th December
9 Platoon, Burma Company at Army Training Regiment Winchester are doing a 24 hour gaming marathon to raise money for our local branch of SSAFA.
SSAFA provide lifelong support for people who serve, or have served, in the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army or Royal Air Force – and their families. The recruits wanted to raise money for the charity in case one day they need to ask for support.
We are raising money in the best way that we can, despite COVID restrictions meaning the recruits are unable to leave camp while they are here.
It is happening on the 3rd and 4th of December, and is being organised by the new recruits to do in their precious spare time, through the night and day. Starting 6pm on the 3rd, finishing 6pm on the 4th.
Close friends and family will be invited to join them online as well, so they can chat about how they have found their time at Winchester, before they pass out of Phase 1 training in mid-December.
If you would like to join in, please speak to the recruits you may know to get the details of the online profiles they will be using. We will not make these public so that we can ensure we don't get swamped with people wanting to join in!
