Scouts from the 9 Aberdeen Scout Troop will be taking part in the Aberdeen Rotary Charity Swim on the 11 May 2014. It is a major fundraising event held at the brand-new Aberdeen Sports Village Aquatics Centre. The registration fee paid by the Scouts taking part will go to the Rotary charities – Aberdeen Cyrenians (tackling homelessness), End Polio Now (final push to eradicate Polio worldwide) and Aberdeen Sports Village (promoting disability sport in Aberdeen).10 scouts from the 9 Aberdeen Scout Troop are taking part and will swim for 20 minutes in two teams of 5. This is not only a great opportunity to support the Rotary charities but also to enable the scouts to raise money towards their trip to Arizona in the October holidays this year.
