We give disabled kids mobility equipment to help them to be independent

Charity Registration No. 802872

On 25th April, 2010 five brave souls from Kensal Rise will be running the Virgin London Marathon. We are not athletes and are more accustomed to running a bar tab than 26.2 miles.

BUT.... All that is about to change…

For the next 6 months we'll be preparing for the grueling test of endurance that the Marathon presents. The tough training regime will see us plodding through up to 45 miles a week and swapping cooked breakfasts, burgers and beers for porridge, brown pasta and isotonic Lucozade.

Our lives will be turned upside down for a while, but we are doing this to help improve the lives of kids who battle disabilities for the whole of their lives.

Our aim to raise £7,500 to support the fantastic work of children’s charity Whizz-Kidz who help disabled children to live more mainstream lives by providing dynamic and lightweight wheelchairs, customised bikes, training and counseling. Through this important work the kids get an opportunity to feel, act and think of themselves as just kids and teenagers rather than as ‘disabled’ kids and teenagers.

Thanks to everyone who is supporting us and please publicise our page in any way that you can, forward it to your friends and give as much as you can to help us support this really worthy cause.

All the best

Nick, Cody, Chris, Dave & Keith
