Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Epilepsy is a condition that affects the brain. People with epilepsy can have epileptic seizures which can vary in type and severity. For some people the seizures can be hard to manage and it affects many different aspects of their life.

My daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 5 and so we know how much it takes away independence and confidence. From managing drug regimes to avoiding baths, from anti-suffocation pillows to never driving, the restrictions on everyday things other people take for granted can seem overwhelming. Epilepsy Action is committed to improving life for everyone affected by epilepsy. Their mission is for everyone to receive the healthcare and support they need and the public respect, fairness and understanding they deserve. That definitely sounds marathon-worthy to me!
