10,000 ft skydive 

On 04/08/14 we will be skydiving to raise money for MUSLIM HANDS to help them provide clean and safe water in third world countries.

Stop just for a moment and run through your normal daily routine from the moment you open your eyes in the morning to when they close at night.

Brushing our teeth, showering, putting the kettle on for a cup of tea, cooking, washing our clothes, drinking and cleaning the dishes — we are all completely dependent on a plentiful supply of safe water to see us through each day. 

Water is a basic necessity to us, but there are billions of people who lack it over the world. Sometimes it isn't even access to water that is the problem; it is often that the available water is unclean, carrying disease and likely to cause serious illness.

That is why MUSLIM HANDS find a way to provide safe water to communities around the world. Solutions to water problems that work well in one area may not be appropriate for another.

 From small hand pumps for a single family to community and agricultural wells, their water projects aim to quench thirst and keep young and old alike safe and healthy with clean, plentiful water.

Sa'ad ibn Ubadah RadiAllahu ‘anhu asked the Prophet Muhammad Salallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, ‘Umm Sa'ad (his mother) has died; what form of Sadaqah (charity) is best?’

He Salallahu ‘alaihi wasallam replied, ‘Water (is best).’ 

Sa'ad dug a well and said, ‘It is for Umm Sa'ad.’
