Growing up in the UK I am aware how fortunate I have been to have been in terms the lifestyle I have been able to live. India is also a country close to my heart with my father being born and raised there. I recently heard of a story of two abandoned orphans in Chennai aged just 11 and 12 reduced to selling nuts on the road to try and survive.

 

Such stories are truly heartbreaking and make one truly appreciate that in the generation where we are blessed with pieces of technological genius, like smart phones, tablet devices and consoles, there are those many children many miles away who would give anything, just to have food to eat, a roof over their head and a means of learning.

Myself and my fitness freak friend Daniel Clark will be competed against each other in a 12 hour Tennis match on July 28th.

Thank you so much for your support and your very kind donation, our singles match lasted 12 hours, we played 18 sets and 156 games but despite the pain and soreness we made it!

Thanks to your help we have exceeded our target of £500 which ensures that one orphan in India could be looked after for the next five years.

Virgin Active Clearview in Brentwood Essex kindly provided us with a court for the 12 hours, the match will began 8 am and ran through till 8 pm!
