On March 6th 2021 My beautiful Auntie Debbie, who was also my god mother,  very sadly passed away after putting up such a strong fight against cancer. It quickly and cruelly took her away from us. Debbie was a remarkable lady who had so much more life to live but this awful illness came along and ripped that away from her as it does to so many. She leaves behind two wonderful sons, her husband, father, siblings  and a huge family. We all love her beyond words. Debbie spent her final days in the Hospice of St Francis where she received the most wonderful care you could ever imagine. The staff were so caring, compassionate and nothing was too much trouble. It is important that they get the recognition they deserve as they are truly amazing people who make someone’s final journey in this life a peaceful and dignified one. 

Debbie was such a kind hearted, loving, generous woman who brought out the best in everyone. In the past she took part in fund raising events for the Hospice of St Francis so I felt it was only right that I also attempt to raise some money for a wonderful Charity that is now so close to mine and my families heart. I will be taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 10th October 2021. It is 13.1 miles so this will be a big challenge for me! I’m getting straight to the training and will do my very best on the day to make Debbie proud!
