“Christmas in Abbey Ward”

on 25 December 2020

We empower homeless and vulnerable adults to rebuild their lives by offering practical services, advice and emotional support. We are determined to cater for the needs of the most vulnerable in our society by supporting people into recovery and advocating for those without a voice.

Story

Linda Chenoweth (a local resident) is keen for us to help alleviate Food Poverty.

The Friary on Musters Road supports the homeless in Nottingham. The pandemic has reduced the resources reaching it. but it is providing a full cooked breakfast at its front door daily and twice a week it is taking dinner to the people who have been housed in a hotel on the Mansfield Road.

At this point it needs money to buy ingredients rather than food donations (though it also runs a food bank).

As we join in socially distanced Christmas events this month as a community, let's show what Abbey can do!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
