Story
I am turning 18 in February and I will be going out of my comfort zone to complete the Edinburgh Full Marathon on the 27th May 2017.
I've never been a long distance runner but have always been known as being a runner to my teacher Mr Donald Grewar who is currently suffering from an awful disease named Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Mr Grewar had always been a very keen runner, would always take time out of his day to approach me and ask how my running and sports were getting on and wasn't shy in making an appearance to any sporting events that the school was involved in. When diagnosed with this illness it has really affected him physically.
Fundraising events such as a golf day, 24hr Sportathon and Fun runs have been brilliantly organised by Brynja Duthie with help from other peers, family and teachers. By running this marathon I want to show Mr G how much I care about him and I do this by participating in something we both love.
26.2 miles will not be easy but a small sponsorship towards this run will go towards an amazing man!!
I'm doing this for you Mr G!!
