I have been fortunate enough to gain a place in the 2022 London marathon on the 2nd October 2022, and have decided to run it for a worthy local charity.

We have all been affected by losing a loved one, and Lindsey Lodge hospice is a great local health care service provider supporting individuals and their families through palliative/ end of life care, and they really touch the lives of the people they support through their wonderful care. 

They are completely reliant on donations so thought that giving something back to such a wonderful charity would be worthwhile when given the opportunity.

Also, with me being me, not happy with the hard slog of completing a marathon, I thought that doing something equally as difficult (and because I think I am having a mid life crisis) could also be achieved. So I have booked  to do a sky dive in Hibaldstow on 9th October, exactly a week after London marathon, to raise additional funds.

I am absolutely terrified of heights so it took a lot of bravery (and a bit of stupidity) to finally pluck up the courage
