Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are going to attempt to trek to the Base Camp of Mount Everest. It's a 15 day trek with around 7 hours of hard trekking each day, at altitudes as high as 5555m (18220 feet) above sea level, where the oxygen in the air is only 50% of what it is here at sea level. 

We are doing this challenge in memory of my Mum Jean, who sadly passed away last year. We will be trying to raise as much as we can for Woodlands Hospice, Aintree, Liverpool (registered charity number 1048934). Woodlands looked after her and made her comfortable in her final days, as well as supporting the family throughout. 

The hospice is solely reliant on charity donations, and the support they provide is excellent, and really helps at such a difficult time. 100% of the money we manage to raise will go directly to Woodlands, as we are funding the complete cost of the trip ourselves.
