Story

Feb 24th 2016. The day our whole world fell apart. That day was when our little Billy who had not long turned 5 years old was cruelly taken from us after a sudden but catastrophic virus. His loss has devastated the whole family so much, but we are determined to have some good come out of his tragic loss. So if raising money in his memory helps other families avoid this pain, then that would be a fitting tribute to a boy who loved helping others.

Billy was a wonderful boy, a real character who did everything with a smile and a glint in his eye. But behind that smile, he had a heart of gold who would happily share his toys and sweets without prompting, and would encourage other children to join in his games.

Billy loved his little friends at nursery and also his closeness to his brothers Daniel and Matthew and his sister Emma was an unbreakable bond.

I'm doing this abseil to raise money for the rotary club on behalf of the Sick kids friends foundation to allow them to carry on the amazing work they do in supporting families at the most dreadful and difficult times they will ever have to endure. From accomodation for parents, memory boxes, activities for the children and supporting the amazing work of the hospital, the team there deserve everyone's support and respect, so please if you can make a donation, no matter how small for the charity. In return I will be launching myself off the Forth Rail Bridge and some will say that's worth every penny :)

Thank you in advance for your support.
