Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon for Diabetes UK on the 17th April.  I have several close relatives with diabetes (including a 92 year old grandfather) and on top of this I spend everyday working in and around diabetes.

Diabetes UK is the leading UK charity for people with Diabetes, providing information and support to many thousands of people with diabetes, thier families and thier carers each year.  There are 2.8 million people diagnosed with Diabetes in the UK,and it's estimated up to a million people do not know they have the condition.  Diabetes has serious consequences if not diagnosed early enough or managed effectively - it is the biggest cause of blindness in the working population in the UK, and it can also lead to lower limb amputation, stroke, heart disease and kidney disease

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now it will help get me round the 26 miles!

Thanks very much for your support!
