Story

On Saturday 30th of September i will be completing a 2.4 mile Swim, 112 Mile Cycle and a 26.2 Mile Run (A full Marathon) Non-Stop Back to back. This will be a race against the clock and i aim to do the lot in under 12 Hours.

This all came about at the end of last year when a few guys (and girl) in my triathlon club wanted to step things up a level and take part in the longest distance race you can do as a triathlete an Iron distance event. I made my excuses that i had too much on in 2017 with just starting a new job, trying to finish the house renovations and balancing in family life with a wife and two kids under the age of 2... Well peer pressure got the best of me and i ended up signing up for the event. I  tried to fit the training in as best i could,  i might not have put in as much training as the rest of the guys i will be travelling and racing against but that won't stop me from completing it. I am raising money for Aware which is Turkingtons chosen charity of the year.
