Story
In 2018, my nephew, Noah, was stillborn at 38 weeks and having seen how devastating this event was to the whole family, I decided that I would run the Manchester marathon in April 2019, finishing at six hours and forty one minutes. It was both mentally, emotionally and physically draining, but I felt like we achieved something really special on the day.
My niece, Evie, came along in the November of 2019 and during the lockdown in 2020, I missed her everyday. In July 2021, my sister and brother in law welcomed their son, Oliver, into the world.
My sister, Amy and brother in law, Martin, have shown tremendous strength since losing Noah and I grow prouder of my sister everyday for the strength that she shows. I love her very much.
I've decided to run the Manchester marathon for the second time and would like to raise money for Tommy's, whom describe their charity as follows.
"We’re dedicated to finding causes and treatments to save babies’ lives as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support"
The marathon takes place on 3rd April 2022 and as a family, we would appreciate any contribution you can make towards what we feel is an important and worthy cause.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
