On 30th May 2021 I will be taking on the Edinburgh Marathon!

This will be my first ever marathon and I'd like to raise some funds for Carlisle Eden Mind in the process. The fantastic work they do in the area to empower, educate and support people with mental health issues is vital. It is needed now more than ever.

Not only has the pandemic created huge mental health challenges, it has also had an impact on funding for charities like Carlisle Eden Mind. As a self-funded, independent, local mental health charity, their funding has been reduced in many ways. Shops have been affected, fundraising has decreased and grants have been stopped or placed on hold. This is all at a time when the importance of their work and demand for their services are higher than ever.

I would therefore be extremely grateful for any donation you can make. I'll use each one as motivation on them long, rainy, 20+ mile training runs and they will certainly help get me across that finish line on the day!

I'll also add that if the event cannot go ahead on 30th May as planned due to Covid restrictions, I will still run the 26.2 miles locally on the day AND do the rescheduled date whenever that may be.
