Hey everyone! Welcome to my Virgin London Marathon Challenge Just Giving page. Thanks for taking the time to visit.

This year I’m running the 2014 Virgin London Marathon on 13 April on behalf of the BHF, eeeeeek LOL  – why am I doing this you ask?

In 2008 my family was affected deeply by the very sudden loss of a precious member …… My Auntie Sandra. Aged only 46 years old she died of sudden heart failure in her sleep. It was such a shock for all of us and we still miss her dearly.

The BHF does amazing work every year. Heart and circulatory disease claims almost 190,000 lives in the UK alone, and is responsible for one in three deaths each year. Not enough attention is given to heart disease and more public awareness is needed. To help us keep our hearts healthier for longer keeping friends and families living happy together for as long as possible.

Finally on a personal note having the opportunity to run the London Marathon is fulfilling a dream I have always had! It is my 1st ever marathon, the training is tough and a MASSIVE challenge but with the continuing help, encouragement and babysitting tokens LOL from my brilliant family and friends -  I know I can do it!
