Event: Thames Path Challenge 2019
We monitor & conserve Sandwich Bay wildlife to help understand and save the environment

Story

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the second of my two challenges, walking 50k this weekend from the start of the North Downs way in Farnham to Reigate.

Previously I took part in Thames Path Challenge which went from Putney to Henley-upon-Thames, and completed this 100k walk in under 20 hours.

I have taken part in these challenges in order to raise funds towards the Scrape Project being carried out by the SBBOT. This project is the purchase and development of an area of land in order to provide habitat for migratory species of birds and local wildlife, so they can be better observed, studied and protected.

The observatory is an organisation that my father volunteers for, and has an active involvement with, so I am doing my little bit to help something that has become very important and dear to him,
