Story

Hello everyone my name is adrian but most of my mates know me as freddie and this year ive decided to do the great north swim in aid of macmillan cancer support nurses, because no- one should face cancer alone, and im also doing this in memory of my only Andy who was and still is my inspiration, a kind gentle bloke, he got me into motorbikes, ford capris, seventies music and took me to see my first boro match.

Andy died of cancer nearly 3 years ago and people say when they've lost someone there isnt a day goes by when you dont think about that person and it is true, very true.

Im also doing this for a work mate who is battling cancer a lovely bloke , get well soon Eddie Charlton.

They say that 1 in 3 of us will get cancer, its a sobbering thought.

So please give what ever you can so the macmillan nurses can carry on with the fantastic work they do.

Thank you all for your kindness

Adrian aka Freddie
