Royal Parks Half Marathon 2010 · 10 October 2010 ·
** THANK YOU! **
Great day - awesome event and a PB of 1h 32m 37s. Your sponsorship made all the difference. Really.
Just a 13.1 mile walk in the park?
Last year's Royal Parks Half Marathon was my first and since catching the bug I've run a further three races. For this year's Royal Parks I'm aiming to complete the distance within 1h 38min. So I promise to match your pledge with a commitment to put in some serious effort for this one year anniversary run. I know that many people already give in many different ways and according to their means. So really, any contribution is appreciated.
Double the Benefit...
Barclays Capital has agreed to match donations up to £750.
Why do I want to run for UNICEF?
Giving every child the best possible chance is an investment in the future. In my view, a pound given to organisations like UNICEF is a pound spent where it is most likely to make the greatest possible change for the better.
What exactly do UNICEF do with the money?
UNICEF is the world’s leading organisation focusing on children and child rights, with a presence in more than 190 countries and territories. UNICEF works with local communities, partners and governments to ensure every child’s rights to survive and thrive are upheld.
UNICEF UK also advocates for lasting change for children. For instance, UNICEF UK’s Public Affairs Team works to change government policies and practices that are detrimental to child rights in the UK and internationally.
