Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In May 2014 my fabulous Auntie completed one of the toughest charity walks in the UK, The London 2 Brighton Challenge. She managed to complete this in less than 24 hours! For those of you who haven’t heard of this challenge before, the objective is to set off from Richmond, West London on Saturday morning and walk 100km through the day and night until you reach Brighton Race Course on Sunday. She inspired me to keep going, never give up and even when you think you’re at a lowest point keep fighting.
In July 2014, my amazing Grandad sadly passed away and lost his fight with Coronary Heart Disease. He was extremely ill but never let this show. He too kept going, never gave up and through it all kept on fighting.
Coronary Heart Disease is responsible for around 74,000 deaths in the UK each year. About 1 in 5 men and 1 in 8 women die from this awful disease and are an estimated 2.7m people still living with this in the .
I am walking to raise money for The British Heart Foundation and in memory of my Grandad. I wish I could help each and every person living with this disease but I can’t. So even if I make a difference to 1 person’s life, it would make every footstep worth while! I will keep going, never give up and keep fighting just like my Auntie, just like my Grandad and just like every other person living with Heart Disease.
I am sure you will agree this is a worthy cause and if you would sponsor me on my quest I would be extremely grateful.
