.Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters!  this Ramadan I have volunteered with Salam Charity to help raise money for Syrian and Palestinian refugees. Inshallah I’ll actually be going to Lebanon myself to help distribute food packages and aid to the people. 

Around 10 years ago just before the war I was living in Syria with my family, I remember the time we spent there vividly as if it was yesterday. The Syrians are some of the most kindest and hospitable  people I’ve ever met in my life, it breaks my heart seeing how their beautiful country had been destroyed and their lives torn apart. There’s only so much we can do and giving Charity is the one thing we can do to help both the Syrian and Palestinian people right now.

سُبْحٰنَ الَّذِىْۤ اَسْرٰى بِعَبْدِهٖ لَيْلًا مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَـرَامِ اِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْاَقْصَا الَّذِىْ بٰرَكْنَا حَوْلَهٗ لِنُرِيَهٗ مِنْ اٰيٰتِنَا‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْبَصِيْرُ

“Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.”  — Al-Isra’ 17:1

There is currently 2 MILLION REFUGEES occupying Lebanon and more than 70% of them are living below the poverty line living in very poor conditions. Many families are struggling daily to get food, clean water and anything as simple as a warm blanket. Even if you were to donate as little as £5 it would make a huge difference, there is always goodness In giving especially in the month of Ramadan where your good deeds are multiplied. May Allah reward every single kind soul who has donated to this cause and raise their ranks in Jannah, Ameen.🙏🏽❤️
