BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride 2017 · 18 June 2017 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Some how I was persuaded to enter this event, 52 miles from London to Brighton, including the notorious climb to the top of Ditchling Beacon, what was I thinking!

Up to 15000 riders take part in this ride, in support of the British Heart Foundation, whose work on research has helped halve the number of people dying from heart disease in the UK.

Developments like the ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) which has preserved and extended the life of my father in law, Ralph, can only come from intense development projects which the BHF has a hand in.

Thanks for visiting my page and should you choose to sponsor me with a donation you can be assured the cause is in aid of a condition which could touch any life at any time.
