Alan is a 61 year old, erstwhile healthy, fit active fella who spent his
life playing and conducting in Brass Bands within S Yorkshire and
Lincolnshire, he had enjoyed a 30 career in HMPrison Service.
With very little warning, he was struck with a seizure and "stroke" like
symptoms. A 3.5 x 3.8 cm type 4 tumour was discovered on CT scan,
hospitalisation for 3 weeks followed by an "awake" craniotomy has removed
a significant proportion of the then 4.2 x 4.6 growing tumour.
Alan returned home awaiting phase two of the treatment plan on Sunday 3rd
There is no rhyme or reason around this random Tumour, no genetic
connection ,. There is very very little funding either in the research into
random Brain Tumour.
Alan's Page would like to begin to make a little contribution to that
research while Alan is able to do so.
Music and entertainment has been Alan's life, so sweating will be kept to
an absolute minimum.
To my amazing Family and Facebook friends old and new home and abroad, you
are my inspiration, between let's take a few steps together, God Bless you
