Resolution Run Nottingham 2019 · 17 March 2019 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

2 years ago our little boy Seth went to bed as normal. Unbeknown to us he suffered a stroke. He woke with limited movement  and drooped facial features,  unaware of what had happened we took him to the hospital where we was told he had suffered a stroke...something we never knew could happen to a 2 year-old. After lots of tests we are still unsure why our little boy had a stroke,  it was potentially linked to a virus but we will never know what caused it.

Since then our world changed and life has become a struggle for Seth. He remains the happy, brave confident lad he's always been but his life is now a cycle of physio, doctors appointments and medication.

Who knows what the future will hold for our wonderful Seth but by doing this run we will help raise money and awareness that strokes can affect anyone regardless of age and lifestyle...something that was confirmed when 8months later my Dad also suffered a stroke.

We would also like to say thanks to all the staff who have helped Seth and Dad get back to where they are now xxx
