Hi I'm running the Reading Half Marathonn the 1st of April, 2012 to help raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital where Mia had heart surgery last year.

This hospital helps thousands of children like Mia every year and with our donations we can make a huge difference, for example:

£5 Could pay for a special mask to help a newborn baby breathe.

£7 Could pay for an assisted bath for children who struggle to get in and out of the bath without help.

£25 Playing is good for you, it speeds recovery and your donation could provide specially adapted toys to aid our patients' recovery.

£50 Equipment is lifesaving and your donation could help fund a vital signs monitor habilitation.

£75 Medicine helps our patients get better - your donation could pay for a vital drugs storage cabinet for a ward.

£100 When children are poorly they want to be close to mummy and daddy - your donation could help pay for a bed for a parent to sleep by their child.

£250 Could pay for a new play room in the hospital's redeveloped site to help speed up recovery.

£798 Could pay for a wheelchair and more!

£2000 Could pay for a respiration monitor to enable doctors and nurses to track a child's breathing.
