Albies Football Challenge 2017 · 27 May 2017

Tommy's funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage. We’re dedicated to finding causes and treatments to save babies’ lives as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support.

Story

I am raising money for Tommys Charity in memory of Albie Hendy and all other babies who are born sleeping.

In 2013, 2 days after his due date, Albie Hendy was born sleeping for reasons unknown. At the time, the UK had 17 stillbirths happen everyday, and whilst this has now been reduced to 15 a day we think this is still 15 too many.

To raise money, myself and a team of everyday people will be planning on breaking a world record for the longest game of football! The current holders played for 108 hours and 2 minutes and our aim is to break through the pain barrier to put some more hours on that clock and spend 7 days, day and night, continually playing football in a bid to raise money but more importantly, awareness of a cause that happens to everyday people. It could happen to you, and it could happen to me.
