Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. I had originally aimed to run the 2011 Paris Marathon this Easter, but have been forced to withdraw due to injury.
Instead, I am now running the Eden Project Marathon on 8 October 2011. It's a smaller-scale event, but it's the full 26.2miles, and is a hilly and challenging course - so don't worry, I won't be getting off lightly!
In the meantime, thank you so much to those who have already made generous donations - please be assured that they are greatly appreciated, and have gone to a fantastic charity doing very important work.
For those who haven't donated so far, please give whatever you can afford. Any donation, however small, will be greatly appreciated.
Why Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research?
On a personal level, I've chosen to run for this charity in memory of my grandad, Keith, who died from acute Leukaemia in 1991 after bravely fighting the disease for several years.
What do they do and why donate?
Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research is the only UK-based charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers. They aim to find the causes, and improve the techniques for diagnosis and treatment of all types of blood cancer. Their work helps to ensure all blood cancer sufferers are provided with the best possible chance of survival.
I'm sure many of you will have had friends and/or family who have been affected by blood cancer, but regardless, I hope you'll help me to support this charity when I run in October so that they can continue their ground-breaking work, improving the prospects and comfort of the 28,500 people diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK each year.

P.S. I'll be running the marathon with my good mate, and experienced marathoner, Alex Dixon. Please take the time to visit his fundraising page at the link below and give nearly as generously to him as you have done me:
