Cambridge Half Marathon 2022 · 6 March 2022 ·
thank you for taking the time to visit my donating page, it means a lot.
I have decided to attempt the Cambridge half marathon this year for a number of reasons. the first reason is to challenge myself both physically and mentally and hopefully achieve something i never thought i could. i also want to show people anything is possible and prove that other peoples perceptions and opinions of disability shouldn't define what you can and cannot do. I also thought this would be a great opportunity to raise some money for two amazing organisations that are very close to my heart.
the Cambridge united community trust has helped me in many ways over the years, I have met loads of incredible and inspirational people through attending and helping out at sessions and everything i have done within football is because of them so i want to give something back and help them grow even bigger.
I have been with the Nottingham transplant team for just under 20 years and they have helped me countless times, they have allowed me to connected with people with shared life experiences and who can relate to the ups and downs of kidney failure and organ transplantation. The transplant games are the highlight of my year every year and seeing friends, teammates, and other participants take part and come together to raise awareness for organ donation is truly special and inspires me to do better.
thanks for reading.
