Believe it or not, I am running the London Landmarks half-marathon in March 2020, and raising much needed funds for Target Ovarian Cancer.

11 women die every day from ovarian cancer. This amazing charity is the only dedicated UK charity fighting the disease by improving early diagnosis, funding life-saving research and providing much-needed support to the 25,000 women with ovarian cancer in the UK.

Early diagnosis is crucial. The earlier a woman is diagnosed, the more likely she will respond to treatment. Sadly, most women are diagnosed once the disease has already spread, and one in five are diagnosed too late for any treatment at all.

Without a serious boost in awareness, women will continue to be diagnosed too late. This charity is trying to fight back by raising awareness of the disease, spread the word about symptoms and train GPs in early diagnosis. This disease can be devastating but through Target Ovarian Cancer there is hope!
