On the 1st November I’m heading off to Morocco with Global Adventure Challenges for a ‘challenging’ (!) four day trek through the Sahara in support of Young Women’s Trust, an incredible charity that I am lucky enough to be a Trustee of.
Young Women's Trust supports and represents women aged 16-30 struggling to live on low or no pay in England and Wales and who are at risk of being trapped in poverty. As well as campaigning, we offer a range of brilliantly reviewed free services directly to young women including:
- Work It Out Life and Career Coaching, with a professional coach over the phone, email or WhatsApp, whatever’s best. Young women usually have between one and six sessions. Our 2016/17 Impact Report found before coaching, only 43% said they felt confident, but this rose to 80% afterwards.
- Job application, CV and cover letter feedback from qualified HR professionals. 97% said the feedback was helpful and easy to understand.
Find out more about the charity, it’s work and read some of the stories directly from the young women themselves at www.youngwomenstrust.org
We’ll be trekking for four days across the ever changing Sahara Desert and climbing to the top of the massive Chigaga Dunes in time for sunrise. It’s an estimated 15-17 hours trekking with added sun!
I’m currently averaging about 15k steps a day, but there’s a lot of training to do.... But I’m both excited and very proud to be raising funds for such a wonderful charity that I know genuinely changes lives. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and very well received.
Thanks massively in advance for your support x
