Story
Hello, and thanks for coming to my fundraising page!
I'm running the 2014 London marathon. I'm spurred on in part due to just wanting to complete it, but for those of you who know me, and my love of cake (and indeed all foods), you can guess that that probably wouldn't be enough by itself. So please help me by raising funds for the many projects and campaigns the WWF runs to make sure there's a future in which people and nature thrive together.
That's the pandas, not the wrestlers...
But the WWF is about so much more than pandas. I've been a self-proclaimed greeny for about eight years now, and WWF works on everything from wildlife to deforestation, indigenous communities, clean energy, rivers, transport, oceans... everything! And the pandas are cute too.

Given how passionate I am about these issues, there's little I'd rather put myself through the ringer for. And the ringer it will be. I've never been a particularly keen runner, but last year I was so inspired by the incredible atmosphere, and the enormous diversity of causes and stories that bring people to run the London marathon that I decided to set myself the challenge. I've already completed a half marathon (Run To The Beat, in September) in just over two hours, and I hope to run the marathon in four and a half hours. Not in a panda costume, though.
Thank you so much in advance. Alex
