Dear Family and Friends,

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

After gorging on the left over chocolates remaining from Christmas, Rich and I have decided to subject ourselves to a grueling challenge that will require more than a fair share of determination and commitment. In 2016, we will each run 2016km in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. We've both been touched by cancer in recent years, as so many of us have been, and so this challenge has stemmed from Rich and I simply wanting to help and give back. 

At an average of 5.5km every day, we will slowly chip away at this almighty figure.

To put this in context...2016km is the equivalent to

11 laps of the M25 or 48 Marathons,  running from Land's End to John O'Groats...and back!! Not to mention the 175,680 calories we'll be burning over the course of the year.

If anyone feels like they would like to participate in anyway, whether it be setting your own challenge, or simply joining us on one of our runs, please do. You can also monitor our progress via the Nike+ app, just add us and you'll be able to see how we're getting on.

We're incredibly grateful for any contribution that can be made. Our goal is to raise £4,032 before the year is out (£2,016 each).
