Story
This one is close to my heart, We lost Foster Dausi a very close family friend to Malaria in 2000. He was a fit 40 year old Father, husband, full of life and was struck down by this preventable and treatable disease. He was living his life to the full after studying in Merseyside and moving back to
his family in Lilongwe, Malawi.
He called Liverpool home and made friends for life whilst he was here, I was lucky enough to get to travel to Malawi on numerous occasions staying with Foster and his family. I credit the chance to see and experience Malawi’s warm heart through Foster and his family the catalyst for my love of travel.
21 years on and the fight against Malaria is still raging, so to aid in research and getting medicine and preventions not only to Malawi ,but many places in the world still effected by Malaria is vitally important. If you can give just a little something towards this cause I’ll be eternally grateful ♥️
Sadly this year we lost Liana, Fosters wife and so I’m running this race for them both.
(For those interested I’ll be running the Liverpool tunnel 10km in September. Aiming to Race it in 35mins or less, trying to best my pb by a cool 2:37mins looooool)
