Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I've lived with type 1 diabetes for just over 4 years, and whilst it takes a lot out of me and has made a huge impact in my life, I have learnt so much and want to help others with this illness. It is a constant, 24/7 job, with no holidays or breaks or respite, and whilst my blood sugar management is nowhere near perfect, far from it, I am very blessed to have this amazing technology to help. However, whilst this tech is available on the NHS, it is not cheap to make, or buy for yourself, and there are many who need and deserve this tech to aid their condition. I feel everyone with this condition should be entitled to the best possible technology available, to have the best fighting chance against this illness.
So, over the month of March, I am going to be running 62 miles (slightly odd number I know) in co-operation with Diabetes UK's fundraiser to raise money to help others with diabetes, and hopefully make some lives that little bit easier!
I am really stoked to be taking on this challenge, and any donations are truly, truly appreciated. It is hard to put it into words how much any amount would mean to me, being a subject so close to my heart (and my pancreas) and of course, donating is purely optional!
