3 Peaks Challenge · 26 September 2013

"Education is the door to freedom, democracy and development" (Nelson Mandela) BS4A helps rural communities replace dilapidated school buildings in Africa in association with SHUMAS Cameroon, each school has clean drinking water and segregated toilets to improve the children's health along with income generating projects for long term sustainability.

Story

I'm trying to raise £350 for Building Schools For Africa, an amazing charity funding essential buildings, schools, hospitals and clean water for some of the poorest people on the planet, and working with communities to make these projects sustainable.

The team I'm taking on the challenge with are looking to raise over £10,000 which will change the lives of thousands of kids in Cameroon; this event alone will raise enough money to refurbish an entire health centre, train the Nurses, provide medical supplies, and build a fresh water station in the town to serve thousands of people each year.

We will be completing the 3 Peaks challenge over a weekend, however as a personal challenge I will be aiming to complete each mountain in the 24 hr challenge times:

  • Five hours for Ben Nevis
  • Four hours for Scafell Pike, from Wasdale Head.
  • Four hours for Snowdon

Please give generously, every pound counts.

Thanks!

Alex
