For over 30 years, Tusk has helped pioneer a range of successful conservation initiatives across more than 20 African countries, safeguarding millions of hectares of ecosystems, empowering local communities and increasing protection for some of the continent's most treasured threatened species.

Story

Across Africa 100 elephants are killed every day and illegal poaching claims the life of one rhino every 10 hours. At this rate, these iconic species will be gone from the wild within your lifetime.

I have signed up to run in this year's Safaricom Half Marathon which takes place at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya on Saturday, June 24th, 2017 on behalf of Tusk Trust.



Tusk’s Safaricom Marathon and Half Marathon takes place in one of Africa’s most breathtaking wildlife conservancies and due to the high altitude and temperature, it is regarded as one of the toughest marathons in the world.


I will be running on behalf of Tusk Trust, a brilliant and pioneering organisation with over 25 years of experience initiating and funding conservation, community development and environmental education programmes across Africa. Since its formation in 1990, Tusk has invested more than £30 ($40) million into a wide range of projects across the continent. http://www.tusk.org
