Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

We believe every moment matters so we go above and beyond to help our patients and their families make the most of every moment they have left. All our services are free of charge. We receive 33% of our funding from the NHS and rely on donations to raise the extra £13m we need each year.

Story

Dear Friends and family

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will already know, my Dad passed away nearly 6 years ago from prostate cancer.

A week before he died he was due to go and spend some time at Trinity hospice where he would receive some pallative care and be around others in the same situation. Unfortunately he didn't get the chance to go before he passed away.

Even though he never actually went to Trinity, the care the hospice gave my mother, sister and I was fantastic. We got grief counselling and a whole load of support from them.

For the last few years I have wanted to run the marathon for them to give something back and say thank you in my own way. Unfortunately due to injury for a couple of years I haven't been able to fulfil that until now.

This year I am determined to run that 26.2 miles in memory of my Pops and raise as much money for Trinity Hospice as I possibly can.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated no matter how big and small.

I hope you'll be able to help me do this for a very worthwhile charity and give me some support in getting to that finish line!

Lots lof love

Ali x
