On the 25th April last year we lost our wonderful Mum to lung cancer, which had unfortunately spread to her brain. The last 6 months of her life she struggled mentally, often saying that she felt like she had two brains. But despite this she still showed us all so much love right until the end in true Wendy style.

Mum spent her last few weeks at Thames Hospice and what they did for her and us as a family exceeded our expectations, we will be forever thankful to them. They treated Mum with the utmost respect, care and love throughout. This also extended to us as a family. We were included every step of the way and all decisions were made involving us. Towards the end we were allowed to stay with Mum 24/7 which was so very special.

James, Alice and Oliver have decided to Climb Mount Snowdon on the 24th April (almost a year to the day of our Mum passing away) We are doing this in honour of our dear Grum and also to raise money for Thames Hospice. We want to say thank you to them for everything they did and to help them be able to continue offering their amazing services to other people who may be approaching end of life.

In the last 6 months of Mums life she told Alice that she used to go to Snowdonia as a little girl with her Mum and Dad and it had a very special place in her heart. She also divulged that she summited Snowdon 6 times! This was news to us! So it made perfect sense for this to be the challenge we take on to raise money.

We thank everybody who chooses to support us and a cause so close to our hearts so very much.
