Annie: "I  have started ‘power walking’ – like jogging, but for unfit people'"

Well Annie, this is your kind of event, a half marathon around the wineries of the Hunter Valley. Oh yes, we will be very tempted to stop off too early, but will try and save the wine tasting for the end.

We're doing it for you kidda.

The Winery Running Festival - Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.

Surely this is a fun, energetic wine tasting tour/festival, 'sign me up and I'll grab my wellies' I said. But wait, no, it's a half marathon!

So, in a frighteningly short 3 weeks time, JP, Sinead and I will be running around the beautiful wineries of the Hunter Valley, and we have to do it without stopping for delicious refreshments!!

We will be running for wonderful  Annie, who passed away far too young and far too early, from breast cancer, in November last year.

The Christie in Manchester played a big part in her treatment and support, as it does for so many people, as I'm sure many of you are aware. For those who would like more information, here's a link about the great work they do.
