Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading dementia organisation in Scotland, I am running the Belfast City Marathon in order to raise funds to help them provide support to dementia sufferers and their carers. Donations are required to fund their Dementia Nurses, Dementia Research Centre, Dementia Advisors and their 24 hour, Freephone Dementia Helpline.

I've done several half marathons in recent years so am well aware that a full marathon is going to be an enormous challenge. After completing most of my half marathons, I've imagined just how unpleasant it would be to turn round and do it all over again - on 2nd May I'll find out for real.

Please donate what you can to this extremely worthwhile cause and in return I shall be shedding blood, sweat and tears (probably toenails too) to get to the finish line before the sweep van does.

Don't forget to add Gift Aid

If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no extra cost to you.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity
